Our client, a New York based FinTech company committed to revolutionizing bond analytics, is seeking entrepreneurial quants and data scientists. Our solutions currently target the $10 trillion mortgage-backed securities (“MBS”) market and offer single security and portfolio valuations, risk measures, diagnostics, and big data tools. Leveraging 30 years of experience in trading, modeling, and software engineering, we are applying modern technologies to bring innovative disruption, speed, and value to institutional money managers, banks, pension and hedge funds, insurance companies, and regulatory institutions.
Candidate Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or other quantitative areas
- Previous programming experience in C, C and R
- Strong interest in behavioral finance
Role
- Design, implementation, calibration, maintenance, and documentation of prepayment and credit models for MBS and other structured products
- Domain knowledge beyond data through industry relationships, conferences, and periodicals to help anticipate potential structural behavior changes
- Extraction of prepayment information from market pricing and leading indicators
- Dialogue with market participants such as portfolio and risk managers
- Flexible work environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
